Daily-overtime states
Three states require daily overtime in addition to the FLSA weekly threshold:
- California: 1.5x over 8 hours in a day, 2x over 12, and 2x over 8 on the seventh consecutive workday.
- Alaska: 1.5x over 8 hours in a day for employers with 4+ employees.
- Nevada: 1.5x over 8 hours in a day for employees earning under 1.5x the state minimum.
